About this event
- 5 hours
On March 8, 2024, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) issued the final rule related to emission reduction standards for methane and volatile organic compounds from new and existing oil and natural gas sources. The revisions to Subpart OOOOa are intended to align the rule with the Congressional Review Act of 2021 that eliminated certain rule amendments. Subpart OOOOb regulates affected facilities constructed, reconstructed, or modified after December 6, 2022. Subpart OOOOc is a model rule for states, which will be required to implement similar measures in state-level rulemaking within 24 months.
This training will include a detailed overview of the final rulemaking and the potential impacts on the unconventional and midstream industries in Pennsylvania. Subject matter experts will share their perspectives on many of the proposed areas of change, including monitoring wells to pneumatic controllers and compressors. At the conclusion, all speakers will participate in a panel discussion with an open question and answer session.
